Send money to Morocco

You can send up to £25,000 to Morocco as a bank transfer without any additional ID verification. For credit¹ or debit card payments, the limit is £4,000. If you’d like to transfer more than this, we’ll need to confirm your identity online.

To send money to Morocco online:

1. Log in or register your profile.
2. Click ‘Send now’ and choose Morocco as your destination.
3. Enter the amount you want to send and your payment type (bank account, online bank transfer or credit¹/debit card).
4. Once you’re happy with the terms, click ‘Continue’. You can then share your unique tracking number (MTCN) with your receiver to track your money transfer

You’ll need your loved one’s details, including their bank and account information, as well as the reason for your money transfer. If you want to transfer more money to Morocco than our standard limit, you will need to confirm your identity online.

To send cash money to Morocco via one of our UK agent locations:

1. Find your nearest Western Union agent location.
2. Hand over a valid government-issued ID (passport or driving licence), and your receiver’s bank and account details.
3. Pay for your money transfer via cash or card and collect your receipt. Keep this to hand as it includes your unique tracking number (MTCN).

When you start to send money to Morocco from the UK online, you’ll be able to view the current exchange rate from GBP to Moroccan dirham (MAD). We’re upfront about any transfer fees², which will depend on how you want to pay for and receive your transfer. The transfer fee quoted is calculated for an online transfer done today. Transfer fees at agent locations may differ from online fees.
